Interest In Politics Plummet, Incredibly Informal Poll Says

(CLEVELAND) – An incredibly informal poll has revealed an abysmally low interest in politics in this presidential election compared to 2008.

The poll, which asked for this writer to gauge his interest in 2012 compared to 2008, is the latest in a series of meaningless polls that will continue to inundate the public until this election is mercifully behind us.

Researcher (me) characterized the poll as asking the subject (also me) if he is more or less interested in politics as a result of the 2012 Presidential Election. The respondent (still me), an Ohioan who faces an appalling amount of political ads on a daily basis, was able to awake himself out of a politically induced coma long enough to respond, “Less interested.”

The subject responded “More interested” just four years ago in a similar poll.

Fox News is characterizing the poll as a reflection of President Obama’s failure to do this or that. Meanwhile, MSNBC and the like blame “Republithug teabaggers” for obstructing this young man’s interest in politics, throwing in a smug laugh for good measure.

Too busy politicizing the poll, nobody has wished the respondent a speedy recovery.

A speedy recovery? Back in rehab? Again?

Joe, do you proofread your posts or do you just not care?

I found one typo. Which, y’know, happens.
