Ralph Nader still exists! Now that we’ve got that out of the way, here are his comments on President Obama.
On issues related to the military and foreign policy, Obama’s worse than Bush, “in the sense that he’s more aggressive, more illegal worldwide,” Nader told POLITICO, going so far as to call Obama a “war criminal.”
Basically, Nader’s argument is President Obama taught the Constitution, thus raising the expectation that he’d thoroughly understand it and adhere to its principles. Former President Bush, however, has probably only ever taught a kid to fish, so it’s no surprise his idea of foreign policy would be to bait and switch the United Nations.
The point makes sense to an extent. But even though former quarterback and current nutcase, Ryan Leaf, has been characterized as the most disappointing draft pick in NFL history, he’s still a Hell of a lot better under center than me, or any other jackass who only has a football on their mantle, “because it looks cool next to the growlers.”
Using my comparison, I’ll take President Leaf over the jackass any day of the week. Besides, if Ryan Leaf were president, he would’ve never had to break into homes for painkillers.
…I think I’ve lost my analogy… Just like Nader has lost his grip on reality! (Reeled it back in).
