Keither Olbmerann FIRED… Again

Keith Olbermann was fired… again. This time the company wielding the proverbial axe was Current TV. They’ve released this statement on the matter.

To the Viewers of Current:

We created Current to give voice to those Americans who refuse to rely on corporate-controlled media and are seeking an authentic progressive outlet. We are more committed to those goals today than ever before.

Current was also founded on the values of respect, openness, collegiality, and loyalty to our viewers. Unfortunately these values are no longer reflected in our relationship with Keith Olbermann and we have ended it.

Translation: Keith Olbermann was hard to get along with. Their hint should have been the guy’s incessant need to attack everyone he disagrees with every word in the dictionary. And then thesaurus.

I’m not one to ever celebrate one’s misfortune, but hopefully he’ll learn to be less outraged all the time and–as Monty Python said–always look on the bright side of life.
