This is probably old news for most, but I’ve only recently found out about this Lady Gaga I’ve heard about in music news. The other day I had an idea for a video series to do for “Mildly Relevant Videos” called “Webcam Music Videos” where I would pick a popular song, dance to it in a ridiculous fashion and use cheesy editing effects. I quickly decided it would probably be stupid and only garner a laugh from my awesomely supportive girlfriend. Before I came to that conclusion, however, said awesomely supportive girlfriend suggested I used Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance.” I immediately looked the song up and gave it a listen.
Holy shit. She is one weird mother humper.
I decided to push through after listening to what I thought was an unnecessarily repetitive song, filled with random “Oos,” Ahs,” and an obligatory rapper shouting God knows what, and looked up the lyrics. I started by recording my lips close up, lip-syncing along with the lyrical genius that is the opening.
Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah!
Roma-Roma-ma-ah!
Ga-ga-ooh-la-la!
Want your bad romance
Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah!
Roma-Roma-ma-ah!
Ga-ga-ooh-la-la!
Want your bad romance
The above verse is repeated several times throughout the five minute duration of the song, presumably to drive home the point of “ga-ga-ooh-la-la.”
Suffice it to say that I quickly became frustrated that this song was famous when I’ve heard farts that are more enticing to my ear. (At least a fart is quick and to the point, as opposed to the repetitive nonsense of “Bad Romance”). I then decided I didn’t want to waste the time it would take to memorize the lyrics to simply lip-sync to them for a video that probably wouldn’t be that funny. For my sanity’s sake, I’m glad I came to that decision sooner rather than later.
In case you haven’t seen it, here’s the music video that makes the work of Marilyn Manson look as mundane as the Nebraska highway.
You’re welcome for the free publicity, Miss Gaga.

I don’t get it . . . is she making fun of those lame dance moves by dancing lame? Or is she just a bad dancer? Oy. Just what we need. Another empty-headed Italian diva. And I was hoping that would have ended with Madonna reaching 50. What was I thinking? I could be spared of hell on earth? Lady Gaga is all form and no substance. As Gertrude Stein said of Oakland: “There no there there.”

Your a bunch of Haters. Im almost 60 years old and I’ve seen alot of stars come and go. Lady Gaga has a unique talent and sence of creativity. For years songs have had repetition. Get over yourselves and reconize some real talent. I think she is Hott and She IS all that!

When visiting a friend, I heard Lady Gaga on the radio for days having no idea who she was. It was practically the only thing this particular radio station played, and I didn’t want to be rude to my host, so I didn’t tell him to turn off that annoying mindless electro-pop. It was just bad. It had nothing to do with who Lady Gaga was. It was simply bad.
